About Melynda Madrid:
I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology from New Mexico State University. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with the New Mexico Counseling and Regulation Board.
I have experience and training in assisting clients with various difficulties including stress management, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, identity issues, and more. I draw from many different counseling theories and techniques because I believe therapy should be tailored to each individual client. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I am proud to say I am a native New Mexican and have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults and families for over ten years in New Mexico as a mental health therapist. I have volunteered with the Children's Grief Center of NM and Breaking the Silence NM in different capacities including training facilitators, presenting, and facilitating groups.
